Summer is pretty officially here, I’m afraid. The weather has turned hot and humid and sticky, and even the most affectionate cat doesn’t want to curl up on my lap. We had a pretty crazy thunderstorm here on Thursday – while I was driving home from a friend’s, there was intense lightning along the Baltimore skyline. It’s my last shift as as Saturday librarian for a while, and work has been busy with finals. I was out late four nights this week, and am off to Ocean City next week for a conference. Tomorrow I’m headed to the Maryland Sheep & Wool festivalm, and I’m hoping the weather holds out. I can really tell it’s summer, though, since I’ve started to daydream about my next vacation. (I don’t know what it will be, or when, but a girl can dream.)
